The company is one of the world's leading project development and construction groups and is renowned for their forward thinking approach and managed one of the first ever sites with unmanned dump trucks, hybrid excavators and wheel loaders as well as a fully electric excavator. This research and development project, initiated between Skanska and Volvo CE, recorded ground-breaking results including a 98% reduction in carbon emissions, a 70% reduction in energy cost and a 40% reduction in operator cost.
With a corporate objective of improving plant efficiencies, Skanska purchased a Telestack TCL 1031 to stockpile at Vikan Kross Quarry in Sweden. The quarry blasts every 2 weeks and has an estimated material output of over 1.4 million tonnes of crushed rock per year. The Telestack TCL 1031 tracked conveyor is being used to stockpile crushed rock at 0-300mm at 600tph from a high capacity Jonsson L1511 jaw crusher. To read more download our case study.
